Would you want to do a vote? I am not sure if you can edit your message to add one, but it would be a way to hear from some of the more quiet members, as well.

I personally would like to up the boarding group to 8. LOL
I think it would be great if in the beginning we can stick together and take a few smaller suits with us???
Do I hear 6? Whatever we decide is fine with me!

I would prefer the boarding groups stay to 3 - There's already been reports of abuse with BG recently.

I guess I am a minority on this one - I have disliked boarding groups from the beginning because basically they are a tool for excluding smaller toons and/or soundless toons from pretty much everything. Sure, they are convenient sometimes, and sure I use them sometimes, but I would happily see them disappear because I think the negatives far outweigh the small advantages.
So my belief is that the proper number for boarding groups at guild runs is zero. Pack on and stay on. We don't need no steenkin' boarding groups.

I think you have a valid point Treefrog. I like it for the opposite reason that you can form a BG with a toon new to the guild or include smaller suits, etc. But...like you said...I have seen it used to exclude toons as well. Also, after running for the past couple of night, we don't have enough toons at the run to use BGs. Maybe we should abandon boarding groups and readdress when the membership grows???

I agree so I guess I'm in the minority with you.
Boarding groups are great for boss battles/factories/mints/DA's/cgc's but not guild runs. I do think they would work well for training runs. Just seems like boarding groups go against the whole philosophy of packing on regardless of laff and suit. They could be great for getting a balanced load or parents wanting to go with their kids, etc... but seems to just open up the possibility of abuse and then small toons or soundless are left out once again. Also, what about when someone is in a boarding group at a guild run and there is 1 empty space on the elevator. You can't pack on if you are part of a boarding group because there is only 1 space available. Then you have the possibility the elevator goes short.
No matter whether there are boarding groups or not, people (mostly randoms) are unfortunately going to break the rules. If you allow, then people will abuse and go over the set limit. If you don't allow, people will do them anyway.
If there are boarding groups then I think the limit should be kept at 3. Anything more and you're talking at least half the elevator is a group. May as well just go on a private run.

I am glad we are talking about this. We also know that pack and go does not work most of the time. I think all of the toons here at Guild V2 ™ would go with anyone no matter what the suit, gag or laff level.

I think Boarding Groups can be a good and a bad thing.
Bad if it is used to exclude the lower/less experienced toons.
Good if it is used for the following: A larger toon invites a less experienced toon to board with them so they wouldn't be left behind.
I think that if each Larger toon picked one (and only one) smaller toon, that it would be a good thing.
I have been in a run where a smaller toon wispered to me if they could board with me. So I started a BG with that toon only.
As I said, BG can be a good and a bad thing. Lets try to keep it as a GOOD thing and not use it to EXCLUDE toons.
Just keep in mind...
WE WERE ALL IN THAT POSITION BEFORE. (How did you feel when you were skipped?)

I really dislike Boarding groups, always have. Feels like being back at school getting picked (or not) for the sports team.
On the rare occasion that I've taken one of my kids to a VP I've told them that I can't go with them, and that they are in good hands.
Just wanted to add my thoughts :-)

I like the boarding groups. When/if I see shuffling due to a small suit, I snag that Short Change, Bottom Feeder, Flunky or worse yet, that Cold Caller and load the elevator.
I did a VP a few days ago and I was one of four Cold Callers on the elevator. We had a blast! I love a nice mix of suits.

Using them on runs I never agreed on.
Personally I dont like Boarding Groups.
If it keeps together a parent and child
or a couple who play together, I see no
harm. But whatever everyone decides is
fine with me. Dont let me influence you!
