Two of the laffs that take most toons a lot of time and effort are the last racing and golf laffs. There are plenty of 130+ laff toons running around without those laffs, and of course many, many other toons for whom those two points seem impossible. Yet to my knowledge, none of the organized groups offer any help with either of these delightful activities.
I have ideas for both, but I'll start with racing, since it's less complicated - for starters, just the Grand Prix. Has anyone in the history of Toontown ever really swept 25 of these suckers? Yes, you say? Liar. Most, if not all of us cheat (I have a friend who says it is not cheating, it's "planned winning"). So most of us plan our wins by trading with friends, or even better, using two accounts and bailing with a sacrificial toon. Many toons, however, may not have those options open to them.
My idea is to start a Grand Prix Starting Service (GPSS). The members of this group would volunteer an hour on Monday and spend that hour starting toons in the Grand Prix, bailing, and then starting another toon. Repeat, as often as needed for the hour. If it takes two minutes, more or less, to bail, log back in and get back to the track, then one toon could start 30 grand prix in an hour. Two toons at the same track could start 60. If you have two accounts, you can do double duty to reduce boredom and start twice as many races in the same amount of time.
There would be a schedule like there is for the invasion calling. Say a couple of hours earlyish, a couple late afternoon, and a couple sometime in the evening. Too many races in one district might cause lag issues - I don't know if that is true or not. If it is, maybe a couple of districts with two starters in each.
Or whatever - details to be worked out if the idea gets some support.
And if this works out, an obvious expansion is the other races.
As I also mentioned golfing, it doesn't take an Einstein to deduce that my idea there is along similar lines. But that is another thread at another time.
