Summer Sunlight

Oboe wiggled in the chair she was tied to, but could not be released.
Ivanna gasped, "Who DID this to you?!"
Oboe rolled her eyes and grunted, showing that she couldn't talk unless they removed the cloth that had disabled her from speaking.
Fancy quickly scuttled over to Oboe and untied the cloth. Oboe took many gasps for breath, for the cloth was very thick and tight.
"So, what happened?" I asked, Sunlight stiff beside me on account of fright.
Oboe flicked her blue eyes over to gaze at us, took a deep breath, and began. "I fell down here, of course, and I quickly stood up from where I was, when all of the sudden something grabbed me from a corner and forced me on this chair, tying me up. It was too dark to tell who or what did this to me!" She said frantically.
Fancy took her lace hankie from her plaid shirt's pocket and dabbed Oboe's sweaty forehead. The cat's eyes were wide with fright.
"Well, what are you waiting for, guys? Untie her," Gwen snapped.
I shook my head rapidly, out of my daze, and gazed at the chained-up black cat.
"Safety pins!" Ivanna exclaimed, grabbing her purse and rummaging around for a minute, and took out a safety pin. She stuck the sharp part out and slipped it in the lock that was holding the chains. She wiggled it around, and it unlocked. She quickly unchained Oboe and began to untie the ribbons and ropes. When she was done about 10 minutes later, Oboe got up and shook off, rubbing her arms.
"Ugh, rope burns, and my leg fell asleep!" Oboe growled, shaking her leg around and stomping her foot, when her leg finally woke up.
Gwen tapped her foot, saying abruptly, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get out of here!"
I sighed, responding, "HOW? There's nothing to grab onto to get up through the exit, and these walls... they're made of stone!"
Sunlight lifted a finger, saying loudly, "Let's explore deeper and see what we can find!"
Oboe nodded, agreeing with my little sister. "I also want to find out who that person, or thing, was," she added.
"Let's go," Gwen said, starting down a dark hallway.
***
The hallway got narrower and lower as we walked along, and we eventually had to crouch down.
"Oh, oh no!" Sunlight screeched, for she was terrified of small spaces.
"Hush, this thing could collapse!" Gwen hissed quietly.
I got down on my hands and knees, the dirt making me dirty, but I didn't care. All I wanted to do was get out of the tunnel.
Suddenly, as if on queue, Ivanna yelled, "Hey, look, an exit!"
And she was correct. I saw a faint light in the distance. Fancy, eager to get out, crawled faster, the others following. When we emerged, we stretched and Oboe began to look around. I shuddered, seeing some of the things in here. There were skulls in some kind of clear liquid, with still bubbles.
"T-test subjects..." Sunlight whispered eerily.
Gwen crossed her arms. "Oboe, come back here. You know what happened last time you went to look at something unknown and unexplored," the pink bunny said.
"Okay, okay," said Oboe, rolling her eyes and walking back to them.
"Hey, where's Ivanna?" Fancy said suddenly.
Startled, I looked around, seeing that Fancy was right. The yellow monkey was not jumping up and down, talking as she usually was. Where she was standing was empty.
"Hey, what's that?" Sunlight said, pointing at a doorway. We walked through, and I gasped at the sight. Ivanna was in a glass cage, knocking on the sides. Next to the cage was a transparent black cat, and she turned around, her red eyes evil and eerie.
"Come to join the party?" She asked, smirking. My eyes widened, knowing who it was.
It was Mystery.
